Ramie is one of the oldest fibers, used for millennia and known for its strength, its ability to maintain its shape and its silk-like shine.
It is a sustainable fabric, as it requires less water and pesticides than other textile crops. In addition, it grows quickly and has a high production per hectare, minimizing its environmental impact. Ramie is also biodegradable and recyclable.
The ramie fibers in Cortana collections are woven using traditional methods, which can create slight variations in yarn thickness in different garments. These subtle differences contribute to the distinctive charm of our designs and are an integral part of the artisanal quality of natural fibers and yarns.
